Choose the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 over the other three when the fold speed and the design matter as much as the price, and you want a stroller that works at home as well as in airports.

Why it is our Trending Pick
Some strollers get bought because they work; the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 gets bought because it works and parents want to be seen pushing it. It is aimed at style-aware families who travel often, live in cities and expect a stroller to fold fast, look sharp and match the rest of their gear. If you already own Bugaboo products, it slots into the same design language.
We made the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 our Trending pick because the combination of design, compact fold and brand pull is unmatched in this lineup. It is probably the most aspirational travel stroller we feature. The fold is the party trick: quick, compact and designed with cabin travel in mind, so the stroller comes with you instead of waiting at the gate. Add a canopy and seat that feel like a proper stroller rather than a travel compromise, and you can see why it keeps showing up in airports.
On a real trip the Butterfly 2 handles the full day. Fold it in one motion at security, carry it by the strap through the terminal, and stow it where the airline allows. In the city it pushes smoothly through crowded streets, reclines for naps between stops, and folds for the train back to the hotel. It is as much an everyday urban stroller as a travel one, which is the point.
The drawback is cost: this is a premium travel stroller at a premium price, and the brand name is part of what you pay for. Skip it if your travel is occasional or if you only need something to survive a gate check. As always, compare folded dimensions with your airline's cabin rules on the Amazon listing before assuming it goes on board.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what travelers ask most about bugaboo butterfly 2.
Does the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 fit in an airplane overhead compartment?
Bugaboo designed the Butterfly fold with cabin travel in mind, but overhead compartments differ by airline and aircraft. Check the folded dimensions on the Amazon listing against your carrier's limits, and expect to gate-check on smaller regional jets.
Is the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 good as an everyday stroller, not just for travel?
Yes, for city families. The seat, canopy and push quality are closer to a full-size stroller than to a typical travel model, which is why many parents use it daily. It is less suited to rough trails or heavy off-pavement use.
What is the difference between the Butterfly 2 and the original Butterfly?
Bugaboo updated the design in the second generation, but the specific changes to the seat, fold and accessories are best confirmed on the Amazon listing and Bugaboo's product page. Do not assume accessories from the first version fit without checking.
