Why we recommend it
Choose the Tile Pro over the Mate when range and ring volume matter, over the Chipolo POP when you want Tile's app and build, and over the AirTag only if you are not on iPhone.

Why it is our Premium Pick
Frequent flyers who check bags on most trips and want the strongest tracker in the Tile family, regardless of phone brand, are the audience for the Life360 Tile Pro luggage tracker. It is the step-up model for the traveler who has used a basic Tile and wants more range and a louder ring when a bag is hiding in a crowded luggage room.
It sits in our Premium slot because it is the most capable of the Tile line: the longest Bluetooth reach, the loudest speaker and a sturdier build than the Mate, all working with both iPhone and Android through the same app. The research behind this subcategory pointed to the Pebblebee Halo as a sophisticated rechargeable alternative, but the Amazon link here sells the Tile Pro luggage tracker, so that is the product this page covers.
A frequent use case: a traveler with one tracker on a checked bag and another on a carry-on, both visible in the Tile app. At a large hub, the longer range helps the app connect directly to the bag as it comes around the carousel, and the ring makes it easy to confirm which of three similar suitcases is yours. When the bag never appears, the last-seen location from the community network gives the airline a starting point.
The honest limitation is the same as any Tile: the community network of Tile app users is smaller than Apple's Find My network, and the most useful alerts need a subscription. The Pro is also larger and costs more than the Mate, so a traveler who only needs a basic last-seen location is paying for range they may not use. iPhone users who want the widest crowd coverage should go with the AirTag.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what travelers ask most about life360 tile pro.
What is the difference between the Tile Pro and the Tile Mate?
The Pro has longer Bluetooth range, a louder ring and a tougher build, which helps at a crowded carousel and with bags that get handled roughly. Both use the same app and network. Check the Amazon listing for the current range and battery figures for each model.
Does the Tile Pro have a replaceable battery?
The Pro has historically been the Tile model with a user-replaceable coin cell, unlike some sealed Tile designs. Check the Amazon listing for the current battery type and rated life before buying, since this can change between generations.
Is the Tile Pro better than an AirTag for luggage?
For Android users, yes, because an AirTag cannot be set up without an Apple device. For iPhone users, the AirTag's Find My network is much larger, which means more frequent location updates at airports. Choose based on your phone first and range second.
