Why it is our Premium Pick
Frequent international flyers, people who dislike bulky travel organizers and gift buyers looking for something that feels considered are the right audience for the Bellroy passport cover. It suits the solo traveler or the couple where each person carries their own passport and wants it protected without turning into a folder.
Premium Pick comes down to craft. Our shortlist began with a zip-around leather wallet from Leatherology, but the Amazon link lands on Bellroy, and it holds the slot comfortably. Travel + Leisure praises the cover's compact design, RFID protection and useful space that never grows into a travel binder. The leather is soft but structured, the stitching is tight, and the interior holds cards on one side and the passport on the other, with a loop for a pen so customs forms are never a scramble. Bellroy's leather develops character with use rather than wearing out, which is the difference between this and budget synthetic covers.
Through a year of trips, the cover lives in the inside pocket of a jacket or the front pocket of a carry-on. At immigration it opens flat so the officer sees the passport without removing it. On the plane, the pen fills in an arrival card while others ask the row for one. Between trips, the bellroy passport cover stays on a shelf with the passport inside, and it looks better after twelve months than it did new.
The drawback is price for capacity. You are paying a premium for a cover that holds one passport and a handful of cards. A family or a traveler with many documents will find it limiting and should look at the Travelon or ZOPPEN organizers.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what travelers ask most about bellroy passport cover.
Does the Bellroy Passport Cover include RFID protection?
Yes, Bellroy builds RFID protection into the card slots of this cover, which shields contactless cards from skimming. US passports already carry a shielded cover. Check the Amazon listing for the current version's description, since Bellroy updates its lineup periodically.
What leather does Bellroy use?
Bellroy uses environmentally certified leather across its range and publishes sourcing details on its own site. The specific leather and color options for this cover can vary by release, so check the Amazon listing for the current material description and available colors before ordering.
Will the cover fit a US passport and cards comfortably?
Yes, it is designed around standard passport dimensions, including US passports, with slots for a few cards. It is deliberately slim, so loading it with many cards and cash will stretch the leather. Keep it to the essentials and it stays flat in a pocket.
